Birthday Parties
Our birthday parties are offered on weekend afternoons. We offer a wide variety of themes to choose from in any of the following genres: Visual Art (multi-medium), Drama/Music Theatre, Yoga ‘n Art or Drama ‘n Art. Organic, nut-free cupcakes are served at the end of the workshop. Minimum 10 kids, maximum 17. $29 per child. Materials and cupcakes included ($26.00 without cupcakes). Please phone or send an email to book your party. We ask for $150 deposit when booking the party.
If your child is sick, you can call up to 24 hours before the party to reschedule, according to our availability. Participants cancelling 1 week prior to the date will be refunded their deposit, less a $30 administration fee. Beyond this date all deposits are non-refundable.

Gift Certificates

• Drop-in/Drop-off workshops in Multi-media Art, Drama/Music Theatre, or Yoga ‘n Art. Buy 1 for $25, 2 for $47, or 4 for $90.
• After-school yoga classes come in packages of 6 and are $72 for pre-schoolers, and $84 for ages 5 – 8 yrs and 9 – 13 yrs.
• Buy your child a block of 10 – 12 performance art classes for a season (fall, winter or spring) for $200 – $240.
• Buy a session of ‘Art Studio’ classes for the born visual artist in your family. Sessions usually come in 6 or 8 week packages for $135 and $180 respectively.
Camps
Camps Year Round
Camps run over the holidays: between Christmas & New Years, March Break and in the summer. All camps draw from all of our arts classes (visual & performance), and also include yoga, meditation, circle songs and storytime. For a view of the full schedule, see below. Size of class is small (10 kids), so registering early is suggested. We ask for a $100 deposit when registering for camps to reserve a spot.
Summer camps have 3 offerings:
Multi/Mixed – draws from all of our classes for children aged 4 to 7 yrs. See description/example of 1 day’s activities below.
Week 1: Monday July 11th to Friday July 15th 2011 – 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Week 2: Monday July 18th to Friday July 22nd 2011 – 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Music ‘n Art – a musical and creative 3 hours with Centre for Art & Soul collaborating with Michael Johnston’s Music Studio (5 to 8 yrs). Description below.
Week 3: Monday July 25th to Friday July 29th 2011 – 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Week 4: Monday Aug. 8th to Friday Aug. 12th 2011 – 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Music Theatre – for the older kids (8 to 13 yrs), runs in August from 1 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and will extend to 2 weeks. Description below.
Weeks 5 & 6: Monday Aug. 8th to Friday Aug. 19th 2011 – 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Mid-way through each workshop, we will take a break to enjoy a healthy, nut-free snack. Remember to reserve in advance in order to save your spot, as class spaces are limited (maximum 10-12 children). Fees are $200 for a week, $250 for Michael Johnston collaboration; or $375 for a 2-week session + 40% off our registration fee ($15) + hst. ‘Multi-Mixed’ Camp (Ages 4 – 7 yrs)
This camp will take place in the morning between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Each day will begin with a specific theme at song circle (themes range from ‘Princesses and Knights’ to ‘Nature and the Environment’). Yoga with Lisa will be an energizing and grounding part of the morning and then Ryan will use that wonderful focused energy in an exciting drama or music and movement class! Both Lisa and Ryan will work together with the children in the visual art component of the camp. We’ll end each day with a story and more singing on the magic mat! On the last day, we invite parents and friends to arrive half an hour early so they can enjoy our student art gallery and a fun musical open-class presentation. Reminder: Please bring a nutritious nut-free snack and drink daily, along with comfortable clothing. Space is limited to 12 children (ages 4 – 7) so it is suggested to register early. ‘Music Theatre – ALICE IN WONDERLAND’ (Ages 8 – 13 yrs)
This camp will take place in the afternoon between 1:00 p.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday for 2 weeks combining elements of acting, singing and dance for a challenging, exciting and fun programme! The first week of camp will be designated to drama games and exercises, physical and vocal exploration, and character building. The first week also wraps up with the auditions and casting of our musical. The scripts will be studied over the weekend. The second week is devoted only to rehearsals and production. As songs are learned, sets are built, costumes are created, and scenes are rehearsed. It’s a wonderfully frantic four days which culminate in a spectacular presentation at 3 pm on the last Friday of camp. This is a perfect camp for the born performer in your family. Give them the ovation they deserve, and sign up for the Centre For Art & Soul’s “Alice In Wonderland”! ‘Music ‘n Art’ – Art & Soul Collaborating with Michael Johnston (Ages 5 – 8 yrs)
This particular camp will be held in Michael Johnston’s Music Studio and is located at 119A Roncesvalles Ave. Toronto, ON. It will take place in the morning between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (see calendar). Each day will begin with camp songs at circle and then we’ll begin our theme for the day (themes range from Brazilian percussion to North American Folk). The day will be broken up focusing on musical instruments, singing & songwriting, visual art, and drama/musical movement all of which are determined by the theme. We’ll end each day with a story and more singing on the magic mat! On the last day, we invite parents and friends to arrive half an hour early so they can enjoy our student art gallery and a fun musical open-class presentation. Reminder: Please bring a nutritious nut-free snack and drink daily, along with comfortable clothing. Space is limited to 10 children (ages 5 – 8) so it is suggested to register early. ‘Yoga ‘n Art’ Camp: August 9th – 13th, 2010 (Ages 5 – 8 yrs)
This camp will take place in the morning between 9:30 a.m. and noon, Monday to Friday. During the yoga component, children will participate in ‘tuning in’, warm ups, a yoga story, relaxation, mediation and song and game. After we’ve become balanced and centred, our minds are open to the best of their ability where the imagination is rich and fertile territory. It’s at this time that we’ll be creating our daily ‘objet d’art’ which will refer to what we discussed and explored in our yoga story.
